Västerbottens-Kuriren: Deep wave fixes the damage

The big team Borussia Dortmund uses it, and so does the German national team. Now the deep wave will reach sports around the world with the help of a former Umeå resident. – “It’s a Swedish innovation that we’re taking the opportunity to introduce here in Umeå,” says Hans Bohlin, innovator and CEO of the company.

Deep waves, as the name suggests, reach deep into the different layers of the body. They also affect the fascia, a connective tissue membrane whose main function is to hold muscles and muscle groups in place.

– Germany has been working with this type of treatment for a long time. Both the German national team and, not least, Borussia Dortmund have used the treatment,” says Hans Bohlin.

Hans Bohlin’s machine has already won a design award at a trade fair in Chicago and will now be introduced in Sweden, but later also in the rest of the world.

– This creates movement. It can be compared to a thumb that moves between 400 and 1000 times in one minute,” says Hans Bohlin.

In addition, this does not work in the same way as a more traditional treatment using the hands.

– This one is also excellent for preventive use,” says Hans Bohlin, pointing to the grenade-like deep wave machine.

Prehab instead of rehab. According to Hans Bohlin, deep waves are excellent for injury prevention.

He is currently demonstrating the machine to a number of physiotherapists, naprapaths and chiropractors who help various sports clubs.

– I will be launching a similar machine for treating horses soon as well,” continues Hans Bohlin, who is actually an economist himself but who also served an apprenticeship with a chiropractor for a few years.

– The method of treating injuries in this way has been around for a long time. The machine just makes it much faster and less painful.

The idea is that sports clubs and others can buy or rent the deep wave machine.
