German Design Award 2020
On February 7th, Swedish med-tech startup Fascia Innovation received two German Design Awards for treatment tools M1 and M2, optimized for Fascia treatment.
German Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design awards. Among the 2020 winners are Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Siemens – and Swedish company Fascia Innovation, developing products and methods to help people with low back pain and frozen shoulder.
"It is amazing that a small Swedish company that has invested in local design, development and manufacturing is rewarded with two international acclaimed awards like this."
— Hans Bohlin, Founder of Fascia Innovation
This is not the first international design award received by this small family business from northern Stockholm. Atlasbalans products have won three Good Design Awards in the US and two A-Design Awards in Italy.
Good Design Award 2018
Apple, Samsung, IKEA – and Fascia Innovation
Fascia Innovation has received the international Good Design Award for both the new M1 and M2 Products. Founded in Chicago in 1950, Good Design remains the oldest and the world’s most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. Among the other receivers this year we find companies like Apple, Samsung and IKEA.
Even though it is a huge accomplishment for a small company to be acknowledged along with this global giants, this is actually the second and third Good Design Award for Fascia Innovation who received the first in 2013.
"For us design has always been important. A physical product is perhaps the most important representation of a company's vision, of values and what you want to say as a business. And for us, it's all about making it easier for professional therapists to help more people and animals."
— Hans Bohlin, Founder of Fascia Innovation

Good Design Award 2013
World’s most prestigious design award to Swedish developed treatment tool
The treatment machine AtlasOrange1, recently awarded the Good Design Award ™, launched internationally in Finland with a press conference in Helsinki on Friday 12th.
AtlasOrange1 is developed to in a gentle way to reach deeper and create movement in the tissue during fascia wave treatment. With approximately 400-1200 pulsations per minute and 6 carefully selected programs it provides the professional therapist the opportunity to provide better treatments than ever.
"You can really take your treatments to a new level with the machine, it becomes so much easier to really reach, the results are fantastic."
— Sirpa Irpola, Physiotherapist
All functions integrated into a single unit
The innovative design in which all functions are integrated into a single unit was at the end of 2013 rewarded with the world’s most prestigious design award, the Good Design Award ™, in the medical field.
The patent-pending control program provides a functionality that can be likened to extra-corporeal shockwave therapy. The difference is the harmonic variation of vibration which makes treatment gentle to the customer.

Our Design Philosophy
The M1 and M2 were developed and designed with the latest anatomical research in mind, and in close cooperation with professional therapists, analyzing their work environment and treatment methods.
The result: ergonomic, functional and user-friendly products, optimized for fascia treatment.
